Dr. Jeffrey Mirsky, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Mirsky is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist working in a private practice in California. He holds medical licenses in both Illinois and California.

Dr. Mirsky is an expert in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for various psychiatric ailments including unipolar depression, bipolar depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and a wide range of anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, PTSD, OCD).

Dr. Mirsky’s practice incorporates an integrated understanding of human physiology, psychopharmacology, all organ systems, psychodynamics of the human condition, brain/mind-body connection. His treatment is tailored to each individuals’ specific set of needs. Most importantly, the ability to relate and communicate is a strength of Dr. Mirsky’s and the therapeutic relationship in and of itself is critically important for treatment. Patients are active participants in their own care and a team approach is utilized in order to optimize individual treatments.

Dr. Mirsky is active in the field of professional sports psychiatry and enjoys working with artists, musicians, athletes and others who may have a high degree of anxiety, performance anxiety and or mood issues. Now, more than ever before, people are understanding the need and benefit of mental health and that it is a strength to confront it rather than a weakness.

Dr. Mirsky studied medicine at Chicago Medical School and completed his residency training at Rush University Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident of Women’s Psychiatric health in 2016. Dr. Mirsky is on the Advisory Board at Mayo Clinic Herman House, and also serves on the board of directors with the serenity foundation, helping to educate others and raise money for those that do not have financial access to life saving treatments.
